HIGHLIGHTS
The challenge was to utilize a small space to perform multiple functions - bike repair, classroom space for teaching bike maintenance and repair to neighborhood youth, a commercial space to sell bikes and related equipment, as well as an office. A loft was created to accommodate the office with a ship’s ladder, a community mural adorns the entire west wall, and black corrugated metal and red concrete floor finish off this vibrant space that always had its door open.
